Privacy Policy

We process personal data, which are collected when visiting our website, in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the State Data Protection Act Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (DSG M-V) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal information. Logging

  • if provided, referrer URL (the previously visited page).

The data are stored for a maximum of seven days, after which they are kept in anonymous form. A combination of the IP address with other databases does not occur.

Cookies

When you visit our website, so-called "session cookies" are stored and archived on your computer. Cookies are small text files designed to make the Internet offerings more user-friendly, effective and secure. You do not damage your computer and they do not contain viruses. As a rule, session cookies are automatically deleted after the end of your visit.

Our website uses the open-source software Matomo for the strategic evaluation of user access. For this purpose, cookies are stored on your computer, which allow us to analyse the use of our website. Your IP address will be immediately anonymised during this process so that you remain anonymous to us as a user. This information will not be disclosed to third parties.

Contact form

The personal data submitted by you via the contact form will only be stored for the purpose of answering your request and will be deleted at the latest after the completion of the administrative process. You have the right to revoke in writing a consent granted to collect personal data at any time and without giving reasons with effect for the future addressed to Universität Rostock (University of Rostock), Universitätsplatz 1, 18055, Rostock or by e-mail to pressestelle@uni-rostock.de .

Furthermore, you have the right to request free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing. In addition, you have the right to correct, block or delete your data.

Objection against advertising mails

The use of contact details published in the disclaimer or similar (such as postal addresses, telephone and fax numbers as well as e-mail addresses) by third parties for the purpose of sending unsolicited information is not permitted.
